NASDAQ Dubai offers opportunities to retail and wholesale investors.
 
Whether they are based in the UAE, in the rest of NASDAQ Dubai region, or elsewhere in the world, investors can choose from a range of equities. They can also trade Dubai Gold Securities (DGS), a Shariah-compliant gold product.  The exchange launched a derivatives platform in November 2008, which caters initially for institutional investors. It also admits structured products.
 
Regional equity issuers include DP World, Depa and Al Baraka Banking Group. Internationally based companies include Citigold in Australia, CSST in China, Hikma Pharmaceuticals in Britain and Netsol and NASDAQ OMX in the US.

In July 2010 NASDAQ Dubai outsourced trading of its equities to the systems of Dubai Financial Market (DFM). As a result individual and other investors can trade on both exchanges using the same Investor Number. You can apply for an Investor Number here.
