A whole universe of ETFs
NASDAQ Dubai aims to list a wide spectrum of ETFs. The idea is to enable listing and trading of ETFs based on globally popular indices like S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrial Average, Nikkei 225, Nasdaq 100, FTSE 100, etc. that provide exposure to blue chips traded on exchanges such as NYSE, Nasdaq, LSE, Euronext etc. The ETFs will also pave the way for the introduction of simple products that can give NASDAQ Dubai participants exposure to popular emerging markets such as Russia, Brazil, China and India, and other niche capital markets that may be of interest to global portfolio managers.
Benign Regulatory Regime
NASDAQ Dubai has been working with its regulator, the DFSA, to establish a benign regulatory regime to enable listing of ETFs. The listing rules for these shall be shortly made for market consultation. Continuous feedback from market participants has helped to shape the rule framework within which ETFs shall be listed on the exchange.
