Regulation - Issuers and Securities Rules

NASDAQ Dubai Issuers and Securities Rules address the Admission of Securities to Trading on the NASDAQ Dubai Market and the continuing obligations imposed on Issuers of Admitted Securities. These rules are implemented on an interim basis and form part of the NASDAQ Dubai Business Rules.  The Issuers and Securities Rules will be superseded and replaced by the NASDAQ Dubai Admission and Disclosure Standards (ADS), which will be implemented when the DFSA’s Markets Law (DIFC) and Market Rules (DFSA) come into effect (anticipated early 2012). The ADS have been released for Public Consultation which concludes on 5 March 2012.

From 1 October 2011, responsibility for the approval of prospectuses and admission of Securities to the Official List of Securities (the List) lies with the DFSA. An admission to the List refers to the process of being listed in accordance with the DFSA listing rules. The DFSA’s listing rules are located in Chapter 13 of the OSR module of the DFSA Rulebook.
