NASDAQ Dubai Monthly Trading Report: March 2013
The value of equities traded on NASDAQ Dubai in the first quarter of 2013 reached 118,836,620 dollars, an increase of 4% from 113,936,509 dollars in the first quarter of 2012, and a decline of 20% from 149,714,483 dollars in the last quarter of 2012.
Equities volume in the first quarter of 2013 reached 18,803,287 shares, a decline of 47% from 36,036,060 in the first quarter of 2012 and a fall of 87% from 167,173,039 in the last quarter of 2012.
Equities traded value in March 2013 reached 28,072,946 dollars, a decline of 31% from 41,006,588 dollars in March 2012 and a fall of 30% from 40,264,467 dollars in February 2013.
Equities volume in March 2013 reached 5,226,110 shares, a fall of 50.5% from 10,560,703 in March 2012 and a decline of 40% from 8,741,921 in February 2013.
The FTSE NASDAQ Dubai UAE 20 index ended March 2013 at 2,207, up 0.03% from 2,201 at the end of February 2013 and up 21% from 1,820 at the end of 2012. The index tracks 20 liquid stocks listed on DFM, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange and NASDAQ Dubai. It has been designed as a hedging and investment mechanism for GCC and international investors.
EFG-Hermes Brokerage (UAE) was the most active Member of the exchange by equities traded value in March 2013, followed by Arqaam Securities and then Deutsche Bank.Back to Trading Reports
