NASDAQ Dubai Monthly Trading Report: September 2012
The value of equities traded on NASDAQ Dubai in the third quarter of 2012 rose to 146.4 million dollars, up 12% from 130 million dollars in the same period of 2011, and 48% higher than the 98.5 million dollars traded in the second quarter of 2012.
The value of equities traded in September 2012 reached 94.7 million dollars, up 215% from 30.1 million dollars in September 2011, and 237% higher than the August 2012 value of 28.1 million dollars.
The FTSE NASDAQ Dubai UAE 20 index ended September 2012 at 1,723, up 4% from the end of August 2012 and up 25% from the end of December 2011.
The index tracks 20 liquid stocks listed on DFM, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange and NASDAQ Dubai. It has been designed as a hedging and investment mechanism for GCC and international investors.
EFG-Hermes Brokerage (UAE) was the most active Member of the exchange by equities traded value in September 2012, followed by Deutsche Bank and then Mashreq Securities.Back to Trading Reports
